Westcon Yards Ølen has been awarded a prize by the Aker BP Alliance for its exceptional efforts within health, safety, and environment throughout fabrication deliveries over the past two years.

During this period, the Alliance has managed extensive projects involving deliveries from 15–20 yards worldwide. Among these, Westcon Yards Ølen has distinguished itself in the Valhall PWP project, delivering without injuries or incidents, supported by excellent reporting routines and a strong focus on continuous improvement.

The deliveries from Ølen have been of high quality and nearly flawless. This is often linked to a strong HSE culture,” says Hallgeir Bruheim, Head of Safety in the Aker BP Alliance.

Roger Hernan, Head of Fabrication at Westcon Yards, expresses pride in the recognition:
We greatly appreciate that our employees’ commitment to a safe and healthy working environment is being noticed. At the same time, we want to commend the Aker BP Alliance for facilitating strong HSE practices at every level.

The award highlights the importance of systematic HSE work and demonstrates how a strong safety focus contributes to both quality and execution capability in complex projects.
